Interesting Facts:
Chiaki plays the guitar and enjoys playing rock ‘n roll music during her free time. She also lived in Romania for a year, so she can not only speak some Romanian but also even cook a Romanian dish.
At SWLG:
Chiaki is a member of the Silicon Valley team. She assists the office attorneys with various types of non-immigrant visas such as H, TN, E-3, and L visas as well as with the PERM process. Chiaki feels rewarded when the cases of her clients are approved.
Prior Experience:
Prior to joining SWLG, Chiaki worked as a corporate paralegal for a game company in San Jose, dealing with intellectual property, litigation, and general corporate matters. She also worked in the legal department at a leading literary agency in Tokyo before moving to California.
Interest in Immigration:
As an immigrant from Japan herself, Chiaki has a great interest in and empathy for immigrant experiences in the U.S. Since joining SWLG, she has gained insight into how the immigration system plays an important role in U.S. society. She hopes to further expand her knowledge of U.S. immigration law and to deepen her understanding and knowledge of the immigration process.
