The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) is extending its suspension of in-person services at its local field offices until at least June 3, 2020. This will be the third extension of the suspension since it went into effect on March 18 as a response to COVID-19.
USCIS will continue to not conduct in-person biometrics appointments at ASCs or green card or naturalization interviews or naturalization ceremonies at local field offices. USCIS will only continue to provide limited emergency services in certain circumstances. Foreign nationals with appointments scheduled during the closure will receive cancellation and rescheduling notices by mail. Green card and naturalization interviews, naturalization ceremonies, and biometric service appointments will be automatically rescheduled once USCIS local field offices resume in-person services.
